COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
Members in Foodservice ProPoints are required to provide business name, business type, contact information (including address, phone and email) and business segment information. Phone number is required in the event that Foodservice ProPoints needs to contact a member if there is a problem with an order.
Your profile information beyond that gathered during enrollment may also be requested via optional surveys, product samples or other site promotions. This information will be used to deliver relevant, targeted offers to Members and is not required to use the web site.
Foodservice ProPoints adheres to the Safe Harbor principals and has made a commitment to cooperate with the European Union Data Protection Authorities or their authorized representatives.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Member information collected is used to create and administer your Foodservice ProPoints account, including, for purposes of account verification, if a member loses or forgets the Foodservice ProPoints Loyalty Program password. Foodservice ProPoints will use this information to contact a member via e-mail or print communications regarding special program promotional offers featuring one or more Program Sponsors. In addition, Foodservice ProPoints may use this information to contact a Member regarding any issues that may rise in the operation of the Web site or Foodservice ProPoints Loyalty Program. Foodservice ProPoints does not sell or rent your personal information to any third parties.
If a Member redeems Foodservice ProPoints points for merchandise, the member may, at Foodservice ProPoints’ discretion, receive communications with information about the transaction (such as order or shipment confirmation) or special product, survey or sample promotions.
Use of personal information by third parties in conjunction with the operation and management of the Program is restricted to necessary functions of the Foodservice ProPoints Loyalty Program and is limited to the least amount of information necessary for that third party to perform its function. As an example, your name and address MAY need to be shared with a third party shipping company.
INFORMATION PROVIDED TO SPONSORS
When a Member enrolls in Foodservice ProPoints, a Member completes an enrollment profile. Information collected from this profile will be shared with all Sponsoring manufacturers.
Upon enrolling, a Member shall have the choice to opt-out to receive informative emails about Sponsoring Manufacturers' products and services directly from Sponsors. If a Member chooses not to opt-out, Foodservice ProPoints will not provide Sponsors with your email address. Subsequent to enrolling, a Member may opt-out so as not to receive Sponsor emails through the Foodservice ProPoints web site. The Member will need to unsubscribe from communications received directly from Sponsors via the message's unsubscribe link.
When a Member logs onto the Internet, a Member is assigned an IP (Internet Protocol) address by an ISP (Internet Service Provider). Web sites can determine from what IP address a Member is entering the site. Foodservice ProPoints uses the IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and for security. Foodservice ProPoints reserves the right to share aggregate ISP information with our Sponsors.
The Foodservice ProPoints site utilizes "cookies" to improve your experience on our site. Cookies are small pieces of important information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. These are used to enhance site usability and personalization and to assist in site navigation. Our cookies contain only information that a Member has supplied to, and can only be accessed by, this site. They cannot read other data off of your computer or share information with cookies from other sites. A cookie may remain on your computer after your browser session has expired to assist a Member when a Member returns to this site.
Occasionally Foodservice ProPoints may place ads on the Web site. These ads may also contain cookies and appear to be coming from our site, but are, in fact, coming from Sponsors or other parties who are presenting ads on our site.
You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify a Member when a cookie is set. Each browser is different, so check the "help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences. If a Member rejects all cookies, a Member may not be able to use some or all of the features of FoodserviceProPoints.com.
The Foodservice ProPoints site has security measures in place to prevent misuse, fraud and alteration of the information under its control. All personal and account activity information collected and used by Foodservice ProPoints is protected via user name and password and is not accessible by the public or via the Internet. Foodservice ProPoints restricts access to personally identifiable information gathered through the Web site to program Employees who need access to the information for the purposes of administering the Foodservice ProPoints Program. These Employees are limited in number, and are committed to Foodservice ProPoints' privacy and security policies. FoodserviceProPoints takes the extra step of having our employees execute comprehensive nondisclosure agreements with us to protect member's confidential information.
REVIEW AND CHANGE OF INFORMATION
A Member can review and change portions of their personal information in the My Profile area of the Web site. Foodservice ProPoints makes reasonable efforts to ensure data integrity to the extent that information will not be transferred to other databases not directly administered by FoodserviceProPoints.com.
